Exciting Head Teacher/Centre Manager position

Are you the dynamic, focused, collaborative person that we are looking for who is capable of leading an established team of teachers in a high quality centre that has a commitment to 100% qualified teachers.

This position is ideal for someone who relishes being part of some exciting new developments. Massey University Auckland Early Learning Centre (MUAELC) is licensed for 40 children with 10 under 2. It is part of Northern Auckland Kindergarten Association (NAKA) and enjoys support from both the association and Massey University being mainly a student and staff centre with some children from the community.

MUAELC offers great working conditions, generous professional development opportunities and support from a professional practice leader.

Ideally you will have centre leadership experience and may also have experience of leading a team through times of change and growth.  If you are this exceptional leader we’d love to hear from you.

You need to have a recognised early childhood education qualification and be a registered teacher to be permanently employed by us. Teachers with a primary teaching qualification will need to undertake the one-year Graduate programme to work for us.   


Your qualification needs to be assessed by the NZ Qualifications Authority and approved by the Education Council for registration as a teacher. Once you receive registration status you would be eligible to apply for permanent positions with us.
